I received an ARC for an honest review. This was a great story. I really liked Michaela and did think that she liked Jaret even in high school. But boy did he ever DEFINE jerk! I like how the story develops over time. The author develops the characters more fully too. The glimpse you get of Jaret coming to Mikki's rescue at Prom shows up later too! You just have to read it! Great story. Looking forward to more by this author

Loved it. Fast paced and hot
The first stepmother story story in this book was good, but the second story ended to soon. It came to and I wanted more.
It was good but I didn't want the second book in there, I just wanted more from the first book. Good story though

Both books were great the only thing I didn't like at the end of the second book was that it seemed to end all of a sudden. It just gave me the impression that it was a rushed end... But otherwise the stories were good.
I just love how attraction can make it's way into your life even when you're not looking for it.
Jaret & Julianne are perfect for one another. When Julianne moved in with Jaret after his father propose to her mother, Jaret didn't know what to do, but he wanted to protect them the best way he knew how which is to show his mean side. But being a jerk didn't push Julianne away like he thought it would and eventually her strong will only brought them more together and love was just a whisper away.

I loved this story. It was like a fairy tale without actually being one. I loved that we saw the beginning of how it started and then fast forwarded to the actual story. When I first started reading I was shocked that it was a high school story but soon learned that was not the case. I'm happy I had the opportunity to read this story. I need more though. I love Mikki and Jaret. I want more of the adult relationship, just more!

I've read quite a few of Victoria's stories and I must say, I always seem to like them. She's a great writer and I hope to see more from this couple but if not, I look forward to her next story.
This time the two have known each other for years and actually sleep together before they find out about their parents. The story covers several years and has love and tragedy - happiness and sadness. And now a bit about the story...

Jaret has been after Mikki for years. His man whore ways and idiot mouth are a huge turnoff though, that is until he sticks up for her. Then before she knows it her body and betrayed her and she's lost her v-card. Only two find out a few weeks later their parents are getting married. This can't be happening to her, she can't be lusting after her man whore, idiot of a step brother... if only he didn't talk so much!!

Favorite passages
- But then, the guy opened his mouth, and it ruined the illusion.
- God, Jaret is impossible to live with, i texted Lea after dinner. Why? He's basically like having a Calvin Klein model living with you. Calvin Klein models don't talk.
